My review of Serang by C.S. Boyack

I am a big fan of C.S. Boyack’s work and Serang, his latest effort, is no exception. I recently posted a well-deserved 5-star review on Amazon and Goodreads and thought I would share it here:

Serang by [Boyack, C. S.]

My Review

Leveraging his epic tale from The Lanternfish, C.S. Boyack delivers an enjoyable and compelling backstory for one of the interesting characters from that book with Serang. This book gives the reader great insight into the origin story of this fascinating character with revelations into her motivation and journey. There is a great balance of action, drama and humor that will keep you turning the pages.

I truly enjoyed this book and look forward to more Lanternfish related tales. The detail and exposition in Serang made me feel that I was accompanying her on her journey. It gave me a much better understanding into her appearance in The Lanternfish and has encouraged me to go back and read that book again.

Great work Craig!

  1. An excellent review, Don! Serang is one of my favorite characters from Lanternfish. I really enjoyed Craig’s look at how her character developed from childhood to the woman warrior she became. Congrats to Craig!
