Check out this great post from Staci Troilo with some useful links for authors.
I’ve been working 12-16 hour days, 7 days a week. I finally took an afternoon off a few days ago. I simply needed to recharge. It made me think of this old proverb because (as my family can attest) I’ve been a dull girl.
Actually, I don’t think dull is a strong enough word. But I’m writing this in the wee hours of the morning (of late night?) and it’s the best I’ve got at the moment.
The point of this, as inspiring as it’s not, is to remind you not to be an “all work and no play” kind of person. It will burn you out. Not only will your creativity suffer; so will your relationships. Sometimes I think I need to look at pictures of my family to remember what they look like!
Wishing you productivity and balance this coming week.
