For part two of this topic, I’m going to focus on writing and motivation.
While you’re querying, keep writing! Do you have any other story ideas up your sleeve? I feel like I have too many story ideas now.
That’s not the case for every writer. You might be in a slump, or still so focused on the story you’re querying you can’t imagine giving a new story your attention.
But as you wait for responses for your queries, it’s really helpful to focus on something else. Maybe for you that’s reading, painting, exercising, or etc. But if you want a career in writing, it would be beneficial to get a new story idea going. Some agents might ask if you have any other stories planned.
