They still have a long way to go before this bill, or something like it, gets passed. I look at it this way, many of those who voted for it have now lost their seats in the next election.

I hope you are right about the seat loss – but I am too aware of cognitive dissonance and confirmation bias to take it as gospel that these reps won’t be reelected (with the help of gerrymandered districts).
I am still reading too many “wait and see” comments which can only remind me of how the Nazi’s were allowed to take hold of Germany. Early resistance is KEY, and Americans are not united in resisting even THIS – witness yesterday’s vote, which makes NO sense!!
