Could you tell us where you were born and what it was like growing up there?

Caroline:
I was born in Detroit, Michigan, but by the time I was two years old we moved to Fort Devens, Massachusetts, the first of many transfers. My father reenlisted in the army after WWII; he served in the Korean War as well.
